Hi!

I am a software developer aiming to design and build software to support research in the life sciences and to develop models to improve our understanding of biological processes at the molecular level.

Education

PhD Biomedical Sciences
UNAM - National Institute of Genomic Medicine
August 2018 - Present

My project analyses gene co-expression profiles in different types of cancer to assess the loss of long distance co-expression phenomenon.

MS Computer Science
UNAM
August 2013 - August 2016

Thesis: Role of PPARG in liver fibrosis: A mathematical and computational model.

I developed a boolean network to model the activation of hepatic stellate cells in liver fibrosis and the role of PPARG in the suppresion of this process.

BS Computer Science and Technology
ITESM Campus Cuernavaca
August 2008 - May 2012

I graduated with honors and was a recipient for the Microsoft Scholarship Program 2010-2011.
